Getting bored once in a while is quite normal. But experiencing boredom and stress frequently may indicate that you are not happy with the life you are living, that you could be moving away from your life’s mission.

Traditional advice on how to live life says “find a job, any job” but the world’s most successful people say, “passion drives progress which in turn becomes success”.

Lost job example - live lifeAnd so it is recommended that to live life happily, you should find a job that you are passionate about.

This is because if you are not passionate about what you do, you won’t do it with complete conviction or you wouldn’t put you best efforts. When you don’t put your best efforts while doing a particular thing, generally, you won’t get the results you wanted. Not being able to get the desired results may result in great deal of distress which may lead to a sense of boredom.

Contrary to popular wisdom, boredom is not always a result of having nothing to do.

It is very hard to come up with a situation where a person’s options are so limited that he or she literally can do nothing.

Rather, boredom stems from a situation where none of the possible things that a person feels he can do, appeal to the person in question. This renders the person inactive, and generally unhappy.

Thus, boredom is the result of having nothing to do that one likes rather than nothing to do per se. Many people as a result of this quickly fall victim to negative thinking and unproductive behaviour.

On top of this Popular new- age philosophies like ‘going with the flow’ is often misinterpreted as going on doing whatever you are doing and hoping things would somehow change.

the plan clipboard - live lifeNothing could be farther from natural order of things. To live a balanced, happy life, you need to plan things well in advance. Proper plans when formulated ahead of time helps us to achieve goals and fulfill visions.

Consider for instance the example of Henry Ford, he made car travel possible for the masses way back in 1990s. Like most innovators Ford had an incredible attitude towards life that made this possible. By proper planning along with formulation and execution of the goal one small and crazy idea can turn into big business such as Facebook and Google.

Planning what you want is one of the most important step to achieve what you want.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that failing to plan is actually a good plan to fail.

Planning your life is synonymous to having a road map that helps you reach your desired destination. Living without a plan and yet hoping to achieve your goals (be it happiness, money, better relationship…) is almost like get in your car and driving aimlessly, hoping to eventually reach your destination.

When you take time and plan your life, you are taking the baby steps to not only identify and reach your goal, but also to do so in most efficient way.

Instead of relying on pure chance, a life plan helps as it acts like a map that can help you reach your destination.

How to Live Life: Take Action
